Rusty Red is a part of my whimsical Whimsical Wildlife series.  Depicted is a bright coppery red squirrel (Sciurus vulgais) . Their ear tufts and attitude make them stand out. Red squirrels come in a variet of colors outside what their name would suggest. Their coats can range from bright copper red to deeper darker reds and sometimes grey and black! Red squirrels are native to the UK and are fairly widespread across nothern Eurasia. North America does have its own Red Squirrel (Tamiasciurus hudsonicus) but it does not have the striking ear tufts that its cousin over the great pond has.
 
The artwork has been produced, printed, and shipped from my little studio in Canton, Connectcut USA. Each one of my prints is created with Epson UltraChrome K3™ archival inks on my Epson Pro 3880 printer on 140lb archival watercolor paper and then finished with an archival UV finish glaze. Each 5"x7" print is centered on 8.5"x7" paper to give customers enough space to playround with their matting and framing choices. Feel free to cut the edges down to a sizing of your choice.
