The Sweet Notes

Embracing New Horizons: Learning the Potter's Wheel.
This past Autumn and all through the winter, I embarked on a new, albeit old, artistic journey- dedicating myself to mastering the potter's wheel and refining my hand-building skills in ceramics. It has been an enriching transformative experience that has allowed me to explore new creative avenues and reignite my passion for the creative processes.

Amongst The Reaching Branches: A Muse in the New England Forest
As an artist, I seek patterns – the interplay of light and shadow, the geometry of nature. In this forest, I find my inspirations. The sun paints dappled patches on the ground, illuminating fallen leaves and patches of moss. The shadows shift with the passing hours, creating a choreography of contrasts. I capture it all – the intricate lacework of branches against the sky, the delicate veins of a leaf, the way moss clings to a decaying log.

Winter's Warm Embrace
I have found myself experimenting with watercolor, gouache, and inks a lot this winter. I am still creating digitally with Procreate and Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. I have even cycled back to explorations of mixing traditional mediums with digital. Oftentimes I find that a watercolor I painted isn't to my liking, but I have spent too much time on it to simply discard. Once scanned in, I rework it using Procreate and Photoshop methods.

Nestled In, In New England
Well folks, we finally did it, after talking about it so many times and for so long, we took action and made the move to New England! Woo-Hoo it was so, so worth it! I spent over two years preparing for this possibility and even went offline for over a year. Now I am back and ready to reintroduce myself and share stories of my life and my work.
