My Hexaflow series was inspired by a late spring day in Virginia, when I was checking on one of my honeybee colonies. I took a honey frame out that was loaded with capped honey and uncapped honey (nectar). The way the sunlight hit a nearby rainbow glass orb decoration sent a kaleidoscope of colors onto the frame I was holding. I started playing with abstraction of the hexagon comb, the light, and the colors and these pieces were the result.
